Wendy Hills Nutritional therapist sitting at her laptop in clinic room. Consulting online with clients

Hi, I’m Wendy Hills, BANT Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner

I specialise in digestive health for women over 50 — the bloating, constipation, reflux, and the feeling that your gut isn't working like it used to. If that sounds familiar, you're not stuck with it, and you don't need another generic diet plan.

Here's what I know: digestive issues in midlife are rarely about one thing. They're connected to hormones, stress, eating patterns, and years of habits that need unpicking; not just a list of foods to cut out. And with so many women turning to weight loss injections, I'm seeing more women whose gut symptoms have got worse, not better.

How I got here

I've always been interested in how food affects health. Not from a dramatic health scare or personal crisis, just genuine curiosity about how what we eat shapes how we feel, especially as we age. That curiosity turned into training, and training turned into a career spent helping women navigate exactly the changes I was curious about in the first place.

Why my background matters

You may have worked with nutritionists before — meal plans, more fibre, more water, an array of supplements. But if you're stuck in patterns of restriction, irregular eating, or stress eating, that advice doesn't land, because the problem isn't what you know. It's what's driving the behaviour.

That's where my specialist training in the behavioural and psychological side of eating changes things. Stress, restriction and irregular eating don't just affect your relationship with food — they physically disrupt your gut. I'm trained to recognise the patterns keeping you stuck, so we're not just addressing your symptoms, we're unpicking the root of the cycle so changes actually last.

I combine gut health expertise with evidence-based behaviour change strategies, so you get a plan that fits your actual life — not a quick fix that won't last.

Working together

Most of my sessions are online, it means you can work with me wherever you are, without rearranging your week around a commute. If you're local, I also see clients in person at my purpose built clinic room in Broadstairs.
